Creating local partnerships to aid the Sisters of St. Francis in building a health clinic for the Mayan population of Palenque, in the Chiapas region of Mexico

Contributions from Dignity Health employees and technical assistance from Dignity Health’s Community Health International Program and Philanthropy are enabling the Sisters of St. Francis acquire much needed assistance to begin planning the building of a health clinic in one of Mexico’s most impoverished districts.

Dignity Health brought together graduate students from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and members of Chicanos Por La Causa to assist the sponsors in planning for the building of a health clinic on the Sisters of St. Francis campus in Palenque.
